In addition to outpatient offices in each county served, Communicare operates a group home for women who have serious mental illness and a residential substance abuse treatment center, and provides school based services in several public educational systems.

Programs receiving funding from the Mississippi Department of Mental Health are required to be certified according to its Operational Standards for Mental Health, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Community Service Providers. Other programs may voluntarily apply for this certification. Certification by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health may involve the entire service provider or particular programs or service areas (i.e. residential services, DUI assessment, outpatient services, etc). The service providers listed in this directory are certified by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health.
