Nominate an Outstanding Individual Volunteer or Group of Volunteers for a Prestigious NAMI Mississippi Award

The NAMI Mississippi Conference Recognition Ceremony celebrates the exemplary work of NAMI Mississippi’s most dedicated volunteers. This award program, presented by NAMI Mississippi in partnership with theNAMI Mississippi Board of Directors, recognizes and honors the valuable contributions of some of NAMI Mississippi’s extraordinary volunteers while inspiring others to follow their example. Awards will be presented at a special luncheon ceremony to be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at the NAMI Mississippi State Conference.
Distinguished Service Award – NAMI Mississippi’s highest honor, given to someone outside the NAMI family in recognition of superior and long-lasting achievement in support of NAMI Mississippi’s goals. Given to a figure of statewide prominence.
Outstanding NAMI Member – Given to honor volunteer achievement of NAMI’s goals. This award recognizes special achievement or long and distinguished service to the entire NAMI family. Honoree must be a NAMI member.
Multicultural Outreach Award – Given to honor outstanding efforts to make ethnic and other minorities a strong and vital part of theNAMI Mississippi family.
Outstanding NAMI Mississippi Affiliate – Given to recognize outstanding achievement in advocacy, public education, or other venues by a NAMI Mississippi Affiliate.
NAMI Young Leader Award – This award recognizes a young adult (age 16-30) who has used his or her personal experience to inspire others and works to strengthen the lives, increase resiliency, promote recovery and help to ensure that youth and young adults living with mental illness live a full life in the community.
